FAQs
Â
Q: Who is this workshop for? College Ready is designed for students who have received or are expecting a university offer, as well as senior secondary students preparing ahead. It is also suitable for current university students who feel they need greater structure, confidence, or direction. If your teen is heading into third level education in Ireland, this workshop was built for them.

Q: Will this workshop be recorded? College Ready is a live online experience and is designed to be attended in real time. Interaction, reflection, and engagement are central to the programme. A recording is not available — please contact us at info@youredgeacademy.com for assistance.

Q: My child has struggled at university. Is this workshop still suitable? Absolutely. College Ready is not only for students starting out — it is equally valuable for students who are already in university and finding the transition harder than expected. The programme addresses exactly the challenges that cause students to struggle: time management, wellbeing, confidence, and independence. It is never too late to build the right foundations.

Q: I am a parent looking for guidance. Is there anything available for parents? Yes. A dedicated Parent Webinar takes place on Wednesday 26th August 2026 from 7:30 – 8:30pm. It is included in the €250 bundle and is also available as a standalone session for €50. The parent session covers how to support your teen through the transition without taking over, what to expect emotionally for both of you, and how to prepare your family practically for college life.

Q: Is this an academic tutoring or study skills course? No. College Ready does not cover academic content, subject revision, or study techniques. It focuses entirely on the life skills, mindset, communication, wellbeing, and independence that universities do not teach — and that make the difference between a student who survives college and one who genuinely thrives.

Q: How will the workshop be delivered? College Ready is delivered live online via Zoom. You will receive your joining link by email after booking. All you need is a device, a stable internet connection, and a quiet space. The student session runs for 3.5 hours on Saturday 29th August from 10:00am – 1:30pm.

Q: What is the investment and what does it include? The Core and Premium College Ready bundle is €250 per student and includes the 3.5-hour student webinar on 29th August (https://www.youredgeacademy.com/event-details/college-ready-webinar-2026) and the 1-hour parent webinar on 26th August. The standalone parent webinar is available separately for €50 (https://www.youredgeacademy.com/event-details/college-ready-parent-webinar-1). Booking is through the website links.

Q: Is my teen too young or too old for this? College Ready is designed primarily for students aged 17–19 who are transitioning into university. However, it is relevant for any young person preparing for independent living and third level education, regardless of whether they are starting in September 2026 or planning ahead for future years.
